Welcome to Berries Restaurant, Meet Bruce, he is the Head Chef and proprietor here. Bruce has been working in catering almost since his first memory – helping his mum and dad in the kitchens of their pub in rural Herefordshire.
The experience of being a small 9 year old chopping up veg. and sweeping the floor gave Bruce the passion for cooking he has carried through his training and career. It has taken him to kitchens all over France and the rest of Europe, learning new recipes and techniques, honing his skills and developing his understanding of makes food good. Bruce didn’t just cook he also spent a good deal of time skiing before heading off to the other side of the world to learn about cooking in a whole new culture – Australia.
Bruce returned to his childhood stomping ground with all this new knowledge and passion for cooking and determination to deliver his customers mouthwatering culinary treats – everyday.
Berries Restaurant is run by Bruce, his mother and a team of hard working staff. What Bruce is trying to achieve is a restaurant and coffee shop that serves great homemade cakes and desserts while delivering a wholesome and interesting menu full of old favourites and fantastic new dishes.
